Group work grading forms will be filled out on Fridays.
To get full credit on the group grading forms make sure you do these things: Assessment of Role: On your comments for yourself and others in your group, list the duties (from the description on page 6 of the textbook) that you saw or didn't see that person or yourself do. Use of the math practice standards: These are the standards that are posted on my west wall and are on the back of the orange paper. (See next column). You must choose one of the standards, explain how you used it during group work during the week. Be very specific to the task or problem in which you used that standard by naming the task and the part of the problem where you used the standard. Tasks completion: If you do not finish the group work in class, you MUST finish it at home by Friday to earn full credit. If you are absent, you need to find out what it was and also get it done by Friday to earn full credit. The best thing to do is to plan on coming to math help the next day after missing class so you will not be behind. Grading Rubric for Standards of Mathematical Practice 1- Response but not answering question about SMP 2- Identify a practice standard but does not connect to work 3- Identify a practice standard, tells how it was seen, but is not specific to the tasks for the week 4- Identify a practice standard, specifically explains how it was seen and to what task. Grading Rubric for Role Assessment 2 points based on how groups assesses you 2 points based on how you assess yourself 4 points based on teacher's observation and how your comments are written. Make sure the comments are specific to the roles. |
